Space Rentals at VIVO Media Arts Centre

VIVO Media Arts Centre supports media artists in our community by providing space rentals for production shoots, documentation, rehearsals, podcast recording, or any other production based activity including public events.

As a part of VIVO's mandate we offer subsidies for non-profit organizations, and individual artists. Subsidies are based on operational budget size.

VIVO’s Studio Space is a large converted warehouse that can be booked for screenings, A/V presentations, performances, installations, meetings, conferences, receptions, or other private functions.

‍The Max Capcity is 150 people.

Studio event rentals include access to:

• 2230 sq. ft. usable space
• 13 ft. ceiling with track lights and steel pipe grid
• Bar/concession area
• Access to bathrooms and a basic kitchen
• 4 folding tables
• 6 Round High Top Tables
• PK Sound Klarity PA System (Klarity12’s + Klarity218 Dual 18″ Sub
• Dedicated loading dock
• Plenty of evening parking
• Wi-Fi
• fully accessible

For additonal cost you can get access to:

• Epson or Sony projectors
• Multi-track recording of performances
• Live streaming
• Any of VIVO's equipment

Public, evening and weekend events have additional costs including staffing, permits, and cleaning fees

RENTAL RATES:

Hourly Rate

• Individual artist: $60/hour - 60% subsidy
• Small non-profit (under $500,000): $90/hour - 40% subsidy
• Medium non-profit ($500,000 - $1 million): $105/hour - 30% subsidy
• Large non-profit (over $1 million): $120/hour - 20% subsidy
• Commercial organizations: $150/hour

Daily Rate

• Individual artist: $480/day - 60% subsidy
• Small non-profit (under $500,000): $720/day - 40% subsidy
• Medium non-profit ($500,000 - $1 million): $840/day - 30% subsidy
• Large non-profit (over $1 million): $960/day - 20% subsidy
• Commercial organizations: $1200/day

Weekly Rate

• Individual artist: $2400/week - 60% subsidy
• Small non-profit: (under $500,000) $3600/week - 40% subsidy
• Medium non-profit ($500,000 - $1 million): $4200/week -  30% subsidy
• Large non-profit (over $1 million): $4800/week - 20% subsidy
• Commercial organizations: $6000/week

‍DAMAGE DEPOSIT:$500 (only for day and weekly rentals)

Staffing Cost:$35/hour, four hours minimum.

Cleaning fee:$250

VIVO’s Media Lab can be booked as an editing suite for post production needs, suitable for sound mixing and test screenings or become the Community Photo Studio.

‍The Max Capcity is 50 people.

This includes access to:

• 411 sq. ft. usable space
• 10 ft. ceiling with track lights
• Wi-Fi
• 6 folding tables

• Sony VPL-HW45ES Full HD SXRD Projector
• Choice of Event Electronics 2228 TR8 Speakers or Dynaudio BM5 MKIII Speakers + BM9S II Sub

• Medium non-profit ($500,000 - $1 million): $1400/week -  30% subsidy
• Large non-profit (over $1 million): $1600/week - 20% subsidy
• Commercial organizations: $2000/week
