Members are at the centre of VIVO’s structure. For over four decades, VIVO has enabled media-driven conversations and transformations by providing access to production equipment and facilities, production support, technical training and community knowledge sharing. Today, our members access equipment and facilities for production and presentation, our post-production suite, and our workshops, at subsidized rates. Membership fees also go directly toward the cost of running VIVO, and help ensure that our rates stay low and our services and programming are widely accessible. No one will be denied membership due to lack of funds and membership fees can be waived if access to funds is a barrier. Please contact info@vivomediaarts.com for any inquiries.
Student eligibility: Must be a current student at an accredited institution OR graduates within one year from the graduation date.
Your organization must be a not-for-profit with a total annual revenue of under one million dollars. Organizations and collectives’ activities must align with VIVO’s mandate, mission and values.
Organizations and collectives are required to designate two representatives for interactions with VIVO.
Members must present valid identification when accessing VIVO's facilities and equipment.
Members’ use of VIVO equipment and facilities is a form of production assistance to the artist/producer and as such, VIVO requires acknowledgement on all promotional materials and in the credit and/or title sequence of any works made with VIVO equipment or assistance.
At VIVO, we invite our members to contribute their work to our renowned 50-year-old archive. You have the chance to donate your creations produced through VIVO for preservation in our Archive, while retaining full copyright ownership. The Archive ensures preservation of its collection, and makes it accessible to researchers and curators worldwide.
