Space Rentals at VIVO Media Arts Centre

VIVO Media Arts Centre supports media artists in our community by providing space rentals for production shoots, documentation, rehearsals, podcast recording, or any other production based activity that is not a presentation of a work open to the public.

‍Space rentals are offered in a tiered rate structure for members. Our aim is to ensure that artists and activists have access to VIVO’s equipment and facilities at the fairest rates possible. We have two rental tiers: Basic Producer Member and Extended Producer Member. For more information on membership see our membership page.

Production rentals occur during office hours, 11am-6pm Tuesday to Friday. Rentals outside of these hours are subject to additional costs.

Bookings must be finalized two weeks in advance and are subject to availability. Access to equipment and technical support is available and subject to additional charges. Please Contact us for a quote and to enquire about availability.

VIVO’s Studio Space is a large converted warehouse that can be booked for screenings, A/V presentations, performances, installations, meetings, conferences, receptions, or other private functions. Studio event rentals include access to:

• 2230 sq. ft. usable space
• 13 ft. ceiling with track lights
• Bar/concession area
• Access to bathrooms and a basic kitchen
• 4 folding tables
  
• HD Video projector (contact VIVO tech for exact specs)
• PK Sound Klarity PA System (Klarity12’s + Klarity218 Dual 18″ Sub)
• Simple DMX stage light system consisting of 4 par cans and a digital mixer
  
• Multi-track recording of performances (additional)
• Plenty of evening parking
• Wi-Fi

Media Lab

VIVO’s Media Lab can be booked as an editing suite for post production needs, suitable for sound mixing and test screenings. This includes access to:

• 411 sq. ft. usable space
• 10 ft. ceiling with track lights
• Wi-Fi
  
• Sony VPL-HW45ES Full HD SXRD Projector
• Choice of Event Electronics 2228 TR8 Speakers or Dynaudio BM5 MKIII Speakers + BM9S II Sub

The following software is included on the Apple M1 iMacs included in the Editing Suites:

• Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effect, Audition, Photoshop, etc)
• Davinci Resolve (including color correction panel),
• MadMapper
