Sara Diamond: Activism & Cultural Acts (1974-1994)

Our latest archive project featuring the Sara Diamond fonds adds videos, audio recordings, photographs, original writings and ephemera related to Diamond’s two decades of work as an activist, historian and cultural worker in Vancouver.

You’ll find Diamond’s unpublished writings, select records from organizations like Lesbians Against the Right, the Revolutionary Workers League, and the Coalition for the Right To View, as well as documentation, research, and ephemera related to her media productions, curated exhibitions, and more.

These additions provide critical context to previously digitized materials from Diamond fonds, situating them within her broader political activism and created through an intersectional lens.

This project was made possible with the support of a B.C. History Digitization grant from the Irving K. Barber Centre.
